After graduating from Grove City College in Western PA with a degree in philosophy, Mike took a job in Otaru, Hokkaido, Japan as a PE teacher. Upon returning home, his new language skills opened doors in the creative world. Soon he was launching his own shop with his first client, All Nippon Airways. Twenty-seven years later, he still enjoys the business. While he’s worn many hats over the years: production artist, art director, copywriter, account director, and HR, the real key to his success is his ability to surround himself with talented, dedicated people.
A veteran of the Los Angeles creative scene for over 28 years, Jamie is an award-winning Creative Director and has been recognized by many top industry organizations. His creative leadership is marked by his strength in inspiring and coaching top creative people. Jamie’s knowledge of strategy and his broad creative vision has helped create relevant marketing solutions for a wide range of clients, including Mitsubishi Motors, Argosy University, Experium Science Academy, American Honda, Coca-Cola, Subaru, The Cheesecake Factory and others.
Senior Art Director
Graduating with honors from Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, Lisa has over 15 years of agency experience working in virtually every medium: collateral, online, video, packaging, photo retouching, and environmental design. With a hands-on approach, she works closely with the creative and account teams to ensure that her projects are finished on strategy, on time and with impeccable attention to detail.
Tammy has spent the last 23 years working, learning and growing with Brand33. Although her degree from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo was in Design, her strength and passion has always been in the technical, manual and digital production side of the creative process. Her production skills for both digital and print are truly exceptional, with each project being handled in a professional and timely manner.
Raised right here in the South Bay, Kirsten brings to our account services team a diverse background in social media and international marketing. She is a graduate of Boston University, earning a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, concentrating in Marketing. Smitten with wanderlust, Kirsten has spent her adulthood traveling the U.S. and Europe.
Graduating in 2017 from the University of Dayton as a psychology major and marketing minor, Conor is one of the newest members of the Brand33 team. Accepting his first full-time job as an account executive, Conor is the first Brand33 employee based in Chicago, IL. Working with the creative team, he makes sure that all clients’ needs are taken care of and projects are completed on time.
Born and raised in Los Angeles, Marina attended the University of San Francisco, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Studies and minored in Public Relations. After graduating in 2005, she remained in “City by the Bay,” calling it home for a total of 8 years. Since moving back down to southern California in 2012, Marina has worked as classical Pilates Instructor in Los Angeles, Beverly Hills and Redondo Beach and, for the last 4 years, as an Event Coordinator, as well. Marina is “mom” to 2 dogs, Bentley and Gordo, and her hobbies include photography, boxing, and travel.
Chief Financial Officer
A graduate of UC Berkeley, Rich spent the first decade of his career as an executive with the Los Angeles YMCA. He joined forces with Michael Dean in 1988, starting what was to become Brand33 and is responsible for the administrative and financial management of the agency.
Born and raised in a small town in central Iowa, Leslie graduated from the University of Northern Iowa, then jumped on I-80 and found her way to Denver, Colorado. But the journey didn’t end there. With a love for the beach and the sun, Leslie and her family swapped their skis for surf boards and relocated to the South Bay where they’ve lived for more than 12 years. With over 20 years’ experience as an executive in sales, marketing, and key account management, she’s known for building exceptional project teams and delivering strategic media plans that drive profits and reinforce branding at every touch point. Her project management experience includes web video production, photoshoots, event planning, print, social media, and web development.
Associate Creative Director
Greg earned his BFA degree in Graphic Design from CSUF and has helped grow Brand33 since 1996, when he had hair on his head and not on his face. Greg enjoys air, food and water.
With over 20 years’ experience in the communication arts industry, Jennie started off as a traditional production artist, and later transitioned into her current position as a print and art buyer. She also serves as a print manager, office administrator and producer, working closely with creative directors and art directors in the selection and coordination of photographers and other creative vendors. Jennie also collaborates with producers to help create an efficient and successful photo shoot experience.
Though John began his career as an art director, after several years collaborating with copywriters, he decided to try his hand at writing, too. Now with 25+ years of creative experience under his belt (figuratively speaking—he never wears a belt), he brings a unique, multi-disciplined perspective to the work. Outside the office, John enjoys home DIYing, fine wine, and classical guitar.
Having recently graduated from the University of Virginia, Jennie moved to California to join Brand33 and follow her interests in art, advertising, and business strategy. Her Media Studies Degree, Economics Minor, and personal art portfolio speak to her passion for the marketing and branding world. She works with our creative team to ensure that all projects are on target and in sync with our clients’expectations.
